On August 2018 at the IAU General Assembly in Wien an interactive panel was presented in order to describe the Cherenkov effect.
With an Arduino board and some LEDs we describe, in a simply and effective way, what happens when gamma rays reach the Earth’s atmosphere, how CTA telescopes will detect Cherenkov light and what kind of information can be obtain from gamma photons.
